Preparing New Year's salad is not difficult and from the available products. Instead of Chinese cabbage, you can use lettuce leaves or a mixture of salads. And this salad can be served in portions to everyone, if you do not have many guests.

Ingredients:

  • Chinese cabbage (medium) - 1/2 head of cabbage
  • sweet red pepper - 1 pc.
  • red onion - 1 pc.

Salad sauce:

  • mayonnaise - 1 tbsp. l.
  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp l.
  • orange juice - 1 tbsp l.
  • ground black pepper

Crackers:

  • loaf - 3 slices
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.
  • soy sauce - 1 tsp l.
  • provencal herbs - 1 tsp l.
  • garlic - 1 clove

Marinated fillet:

  • chicken fillet - 200-300 g
  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp l.
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.
  • ground black pepper
  • salt

Cheese balls:

  • Feta cheese - 50 g
  • curd cheese (creamy) - 50 g
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • dill - bunch
  • ground black pepper

Step by step recipe

1. Let's start by making salad croutons.
Cut 3 slices of loaf or white bread into small cubes. Put the chopped loaf in a bowl.

2. Pour 1 tsp into a separate bowl. l. soy sauce, add 1 tsp. l. Provencal herbs and pour 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Add 1 clove of garlic squeezed through a press to this. We mix everything.

3. Pour the prepared dressing over the bread cubes and mix well so that the seasonings are evenly distributed.

4. Put the bread in a frying pan and fry the croutons over medium heat, stirring occasionally. They should turn golden and crispy. Remove the finished croutons from the heat.

5. Now let's prepare the meat for the salad.
Cut one chicken breast, weighing about 300 g, into slices. Cut fillet plates into cubes.

6. Transfer the meat to a bowl. Salt it a little, pour 1 tbsp. soy sauce, pepper with black pepper and add 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Mix everything and leave to marinate for 15 minutes.

7. While the meat is marinated, prepare the cheese balls. Finely chop a small bunch of dill with a knife. Put 50 g of feta cheese in a bowl and knead it with a fork.

8. Add 50 g of cream or curd cheese to this. Squeeze 1 clove of garlic through a press, pepper with ground black pepper and add dill. We mix everything.

9. We form small balls from the prepared mixture. One ball is about half a teaspoon of cheese mass.

10. The meat is pickled. We put it in a well-heated frying pan. Fry the fillets over the fire a little more than medium, stirring occasionally. Fry until golden brown. Remove the finished fried fillet pieces from the heat.

11. Cooking the rest of the ingredients for the salad.
Finely chop half a head of small Peking cabbage with a knife. Instead of Chinese cabbage, you can use lettuce or salad greens mixture.
Cut one red onion into half rings.

12. Cut one sweet red pepper into slices, and then cut the slices into cubes.

13. Put Chinese cabbage, peppers, onions and cooked fillets in a bowl. We mix everything. Transfer the salad to a large dish and distribute it evenly.

14. Cooking salad dressing.
We take 1 tbsp. mayonnaise and pour in 1 tbsp. soy sauce, pepper with black pepper. To this we add about 1 tbsp. l. juice from an orange. We mix everything.

15. Pour the prepared dressing evenly over the salad using a spoon.
Sprinkle everything with crackers. Gently spread the cheese balls on top of the salad.
The salad is ready, you can serve it on the table.
