I am not a fan of traditional mayonnaise salads, but I decided to cook this salad for the Christmas table. Of course, you can smear each layer with mayonnaise, but I prefer to reduce its consumption a little :) it turns out just as tasty, but not so "hard" # new year # christmas
Ingredients: Herring, Beets, Carrots, Potatoes, Eggs, Onions, Mayonnaise
Cooking method:
Boil eggs hard-boiled. Boil vegetables until tender. Let cool. Peel boiled vegetables. I chop the potatoes and egg whites finely enough. Rub the beets and carrots on a coarse grater.
Next, lay out the salad in layers. We clean the herring of bones and cut into small pieces. We spread it in the first layer. Chop the onion very finely and place on top of the herring. To get rid of the bitterness, it is better to pour boiling water over the chopped onion and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
Put potatoes and an egg on the onion. We coat with mayonnaise. Next, lay out the grated carrots and grease with mayonnaise again.
Put the beets on top and coat the whole salad with mayonnaise. We put the salad in the refrigerator for several hours so that it is well saturated.
Rub the yolks on a fine grater and sprinkle them on the top of the salad.
