Choosing one of these days a cafe or a restaurant in which it would be possible to sit deliciously in a small company, we thought: what epithets characterize such establishments from a far from better side? Not directly, but subconsciously?

Because if the review is negative, everything is clear. The guest noted the negligence of the staff, the dirt in the hall, the untimely and poor-quality presentation, the food that was not tasty for the guest. There are many nuances.

Yes, that's the problem ...

Not all of us know how (and are ready) to write reviews honestly. The negative can be poured out. Can be praised. But too, too often they prefer to spread their thoughts along the tree, believing that simply “sour borscht, delicious bread” is not a response. It is necessary to create an essay following the example of a restaurant critic.

And it is very, very problematic to understand such creativity. Especially if the person himself is good, kind. He may not have liked some of the food, but the waitress smiled sweetly. Or the waiter changed appliances on time, offered water, took care, as it should be. Or lemonade was served - well, just like in childhood! And therefore, he is ready to forgive burnt stripes from an uncleaned grill on meat - what is there of this strip! The meat was pretty much nothing, the teeth did not break, and it didn’t smell... And shrimp with ice crystals in he will forget the salad with a sigh - well, yes, it happens, shrimps are bred not in the pond behind the restaurant itself, from afar being taken.

This person sits down to write a review in order to help other people, and it seems like he does not want to offend with bad grades, but there is nothing to praise, according to the result.

And so he begins to look for beautiful expressions.

He will tell you how cozy it is in the hall. And this may be about the fact that it is really cozy there, or maybe that the lighting is dim (for some reason we think that the lack of light is comfort), the seating of guests is close (as in a large family and in a tiny kitchen, when you bump each other with your elbows), and at the same time, “delicious smells from kitchen ". After all, everyone has their own understanding of comfort ...

He will add that "there were shortcomings, but where they do not happen." Someone else will ascribe that "all mistakes can be forgiven for the taste of cutlets, as in childhood" (eh, what?). Or "given the level of prices, one can turn a blind eye to the shortcomings."

I don’t know about you, but I (and most of my friends) have such phrases as markers that it’s better not to visit the institution. Well his ...

But the worst part is when they start using the term "mentally".

To me, he is like the yellow tape that police use to fence off a crime scene in American action films. Do not go behind the tape! As well as in establishments where the "soulfulness" rolls over.

If the review says "mentally", and the atmosphere is spiritual, and the food is also, then, most often, nothing but "soulfulness" was found there (and will not succeed).

And sincerity, it is, you know, a suspicious thing. As in a joke ...

A restaurant visitor asks to cook me some fried potatoes, but on the one hand, let them be burnt, on the other - not fried. It is necessary to salt at the end so that on the one hand it is undersalted, on the other - oversalted. Then bring it directly into the frying pan, place the frying pan on the table with a crash, and say: "Eat, quickly... on."

The waiter asks in horror - why all this? The visitor, with sadness in his eyes:
