Crispy toast rolls with ham and gooey cheese are the perfect hearty breakfast or quick snack.
Ingredients: toast bread, ham, mozzarella, milk, egg, breadcrumbs, hard cheese, ground sweet paprika, dried garlic, salt and pepper, olive oil
Cooking method:
Cut off crusts from bread. You can not throw them away, but, for example, prepare croutons for a Tuscan salad.
Roll out slices of bread with a rolling pin. Fresh bread rolls better.
We put cheese and ham on slices of bread (the filling can be varied - tuna, mushrooms, bacon, crab sticks, etc.). Wet the edge of the bread with milk for better fixation. We twist tight tubes.
In one plate, mix the egg and milk, in the other - breadcrumbs, grated hard cheese and spices (salt, pepper, garlic, paprika or others to taste).
Heat up a pan with olive oil. With one hand, dip the tubes in the liquid mixture, with the other roll in the dry mixture. And place seam side down in the pan.
Fry the toast for a couple of minutes on each side. And put it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Serve with your favorite sauce or vegetable salad.
