Today I will cook turkey fillet in the oven with vegetables. Meat for this dish is suitable from different parts of the carcass. It can be a breast, drumstick or thigh fillet. The fillet must be cut into small pieces. This time I bought ready-made medallions. #recipe of the day

Turkey medallions with vegetables

Ingredients: turkey fillet, zucchini, salt (or two pinches), bell pepper, basil, sour cream, cheese (optional)

Cooking method:

I will lay out the medallions in a greased form in one layer and salt a little.

From vegetables, I chose zucchini and sweet peppers. If there is no zucchini, then it can be replaced with carrots and onions. Meat with onions and carrots is a win-win option. I rubbed the zucchini on a coarse grater, added chopped garlic and a handful of frozen bell pepper to it. If the pepper is fresh, then cut it into cubes or straws.

And, of course, it is worth adding a few leaves of basil to the meat, fresh, frozen or dried. Or chopped bay leaf. I put sour cream.

Salt and mix, and then this beauty is laid out in a second layer on the meat.

By this time my oven had warmed up to 220 degrees. I cover the form with foil and put the turkey in the oven. For the first half hour, I leave the temperature at 220 degrees. Usually - until the liquid boils in the form. In a transparent form, this process can be observed without opening the foil.

After boiling, I reduce to 200 degrees. In total, the dish is cooked for about an hour. But you can try it earlier. Readiness may vary depending on the oven. If the meat is soft, then it's time to take it out. You can add grated cheese on top if you like. Then send the form without foil for 5 minutes in the already turned off oven so that the cheese melts.

After that, I serve a soft juicy and very tasty turkey with vegetables to the table, sprinkled with chopped herbs. Good appetite!
