Of course, more often I cook pancakes on kefir. I have already shared my tricks on how to make the pancakes turn out lush and not look like soles (I will leave a link to this recipe below).
But today I will have pancakes on the water. And they are just as good as our favorite classics! There are some tricks here too.
First, I prepare the dough. I pour half a glass of water into a bowl. Ordinary cold water. Add egg, salt and sugar, beat with a whisk. Now here - half a glass of flour (I sift the flour beforehand). I mix with a whisk so that there are no lumps left. And I pour in half a glass of boiling water (just boiled water). Mix again and add enough flour to make a dough like thick sour cream.
At the end I add baking powder.
Finely chop one large onion.
I fry the onion in vegetable oil (until transparent).
Then I heat the vegetable oil in another pan and spread the onion a little bit at a time. Gently pour the prepared batter on top of the onion.
I fry until golden brown, turn over and brown the pancakes on the other side.
This is delicious! Very! Even on the water! And if you cook the dough on kefir - you won’t come off at all!
