I recently ran a poll in our community about your favorite pie toppings. 113 people voted. 42% voted for cabbage, meat pies were in second place 35% and pies with green onions and eggs were in third place. Today I will cook pies with these fillings, and in order not to get confused, I will sculpt them in different shapes - square, triangular and classic.

Ingredients: Dough for 12 pies:, - Wheat flour, - Milk, - Yeast (fast), - Sugar, - Salt, Filling No. 1. With cabbage for 12 pies:, - Fresh cabbage, - Onion, - Carrot, - Lemon juice, - Butter, Salt, Vegetable oil for frying, Filling No. 2. With meat for 12 pies:, - Beef, - Pork, - Onion, - Ground black pepper, - Salt, Melted butter for frying, Stuffing No. 3. With egg and onion for 12 pies:, - Chicken eggs, - Green onions, Salt, Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method:

Cooking dough. Add yeast, salt, sugar, warm milk to the sifted flour. Knead the dough. Can be done by hand or using a mixer with dough attachments. Then round the dough, put it in a deep bowl, greased with vegetable oil, cover with a lid or cling film. Let rise for 1-2 hours. The dough should double in size.

The dough has risen, divide it into 12 equal parts, roll each piece of dough into a ball. Cover the balls with a film or towel and let them rest for about 10 minutes. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling.

Stuffing number 1 for pies with meat. Pass the meat through a meat grinder. Onion cut into small cubes. Melt the melted butter in a frying pan, fry the onion in it. Add minced meat, salt, black pepper and fry until tender. Meat pies filling is ready.

Stuffing number 2 for pies with cabbage. Shred the cabbage. Grate carrots on a medium grater. Onion cut into quarter rings. Heat up some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion until transparent. Add butter and carrots, fry for about a minute. Add cabbage, salt, lemon juice and fry until cabbage is soft. Stuffing for pies with cabbage is ready.

Filling No. 3 for pies with green onions and eggs. Hard boil eggs. Cool down. Cut into cubes. Cut green onions. Combine onions with eggs, salt to taste and mix. The filling for pies with green onions and eggs is ready.

We make pies. Roll out each ball of dough into a thin cake, put minced meat in the center, blind the edges of the dough (clearly in the video recipe). Cover the finished pies with a towel and let them rest for 10-15 minutes.

We bake pies. Put the pies in a frying pan with hot vegetable oil, seam down. Fry over medium heat. Once browned, turn over and fry on the other side until golden brown. Transfer the finished pies to a paper towel to remove excess oil and you can serve! More details in the video recipe at the link:
