A wonderful side dish of pasta fully justifies its name. It is prepared in an unusual way from the simplest and most affordable products. It is tasty, satisfying and perfect for every day. Such vermicelli with vegetables will appeal to the whole family.
It is easy to cook such pasta in a pan. This recipe always helps out when you want to cook something unusual, quickly and from available products. You can use any frozen vegetables in this dish.
This wonderful side dish of pasta is perfect for meat and fish dishes. Also, such delicious pasta will perfectly fit into the Lenten menu.

Ingredients:

  • vermicelli - 200 g
  • frozen vegetable mix - 200 g
  • boiling water - 150-200 ml
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • sunflower oil - 3 tbsp. l.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe

1. Pour about 1 tbsp into the pan. l. vegetable oil and pour 200 g of small vermicelli.

2. Stirring constantly, fry it over low heat for about 10 minutes. Vermicelli should acquire a beautiful golden color.

3. Pour the prepared vermicelli with hot water so that it completely covers it. It will take about 150-200 ml of boiling water.
Stir the vermicelli with water constantly until all the water is absorbed. This takes approximately 2-3 minutes.
Cover the pan with a lid and remove from heat. While we cook the vegetables, the vermicelli will swell to the desired state.

4. Cut one onion into small cubes.
In another pan, fry the onion in a small amount of vegetable oil.

5. When the onion is golden, add 200 g of the frozen vegetable mixture to it. I use the Mexican mix. Mix everything and cover with a lid. Simmer vegetables over low heat for about 10-15 minutes until tender.

6. The vegetables are already cooked, add the prepared vermicelli to them. Salt and pepper everything to taste.
Mix vegetables with noodles, remove from heat and serve.

Vermicelli with frozen vegetables turned out to be very unusually tasty and fragrant. It is quite easy to prepare, so everyone can handle cooking.
