Chicken in sweet and sour sauce

Ingredients: Chicken fillet, Bulgarian pepper, Canned pineapple, Paprika, Chili or cayenne pepper, Salt, Tomato paste, Corn or potato starch, Pineapple juice, Water, Dry garlic, Dry ginger

Cooking method:

Chicken fillet cut into pieces. To your taste, add salt, paprika, ground chili or cayenne pepper to your liking. Necessarily a spoonful of potato or cornstarch for a ruddy and slightly crispy crust.

In vegetable oil, fry the bell pepper and chicken separately. Fry the fillet pieces until golden brown.

We combine chicken fillet, bell pepper and canned pineapple in a wok pan. Stir and simmer for 3 minutes.

Add sweet chili sauce, simmer for another 3 minutes.

Pour in pineapple juice, to which we added a little water and two tablespoons of tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes.

After that, we level the taste balance. We try for salt, sugar and other spices, is there enough acidity in the sauce.

Add a tablespoon of starch to thicken the sauce. Starch may be required either more or less. It all depends on the amount of sauce and the desired consistency. Don't be afraid to experiment.

Simmer for another 5 minutes and remove from heat.

When serving, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds or finely chopped green onions.
