Ingredients: flour (it took me a little more), milk, dry yeast (7 g), sugar, egg, butter, vanillin, salt
Cooking method:
Poppy filling for buns and icing I had ready-made, purchased.
We make a quick brew. Pour yeast into warmed milk and 2 tablespoons each. flour and sugar from the total, mix, cover with cling film, make holes with a toothpick, leave for 20 minutes in a warm place.
Then pour the dough into a deep bowl, add the egg, sugar, salt, vanillin, melted and cooled butter and start sifting the flour. As soon as the dough stops sticking to your hands, flour is enough. It took me 3 tablespoons. more. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to rise for 1.5 hours, then knead and remove again for half an hour.
Divide the risen dough into 2 equal parts, roll it into a rectangular layer 35 cm long and 20 cm wide, lay out half of the poppy seed filling, distribute evenly.
Roll the dough into a tight roll, carefully pinch the edges, cut across into 7 pieces of 5 cm each. There are 14 buns in total. Press down the middle, I use a bamboo stick.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cover and let rise for 20 minutes. Then, if you do not plan to cover with icing, grease with a beaten egg, if the buns are with icing, there is no need to grease. Send to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes, look at the browning.
Take out the buns, cool, glaze and serve with tea or coffee.
Bon Appetit everyone! 🌹
