An affordable recipe for a hearty first course based on chicken fillet broth, vegetables and homemade dumplings. Thanks for the recipe @Sveta_ly
Ingredients: chicken fillet, potatoes, onions, carrots, water, vegetable oil, bay leaves, salt, spices, parsley, For dumplings: egg, flour, broth, vegetable oil, salt, spices
Cooking method:
We put a pot of water on the fire. Cut the meat into pieces. Peel potatoes and cut into cubes. We rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Finely chop the onion.
Put the meat into the boiling broth, salt, pepper, add the bay leaf. Cook over low heat at a constant boil for about 10 minutes.
Then lay out the potatoes. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes after boiling.
Pour vegetable oil into a small frying pan, put onions, grated carrots and lightly fry over medium heat for a couple of minutes so that the vegetables reveal their aroma and the color becomes brighter.
Preparing dough for dumplings. Break an egg into a small bowl. Salt, pepper and mix. First, add two tablespoons of flour, stir. Pour in vegetable oil, then hot broth, stirring constantly. The dough will become quite liquid. Adding flour, bring it to the desired consistency - the dough should become thicker than on pancakes.
When the potatoes are ready, add the frying.
After boiling the soup, we form dumplings. We collect the dough with one teaspoon, and gently push it into the pan with the other. The dumplings will sink to the bottom first and then float to the top. Once the dumplings have surfaced, they are ready. Add chopped parsley to soup. Turn off the heat, cover the pan with a lid and let the soup brew for 10-15 minutes. Bon Appetit!
