The easiest and fastest way to pickle mackerel. The fish is ready in 12 hours, it turns out very tasty.
Ingredients: mackerel, water, salt, sugar, bay leaves, allspice, black peppercorns
Cooking method:
If the mackerel was frozen, freeze it first, clean it, remove the black film, otherwise the fish may taste bitter.
Pour water into a saucepan, add salt, pepper, sugar and bay leaf. Put the saucepan with the brine on the fire, bring it to a boil, boil it for a few minutes to dissolve the salt and sugar. Leave the brine to cool to room temperature.
While the brine is cooling, prepare the fish. Cut off the fins with scissors, cut the fish with a sharp knife 1-1.5 cm in size.
Put the pieces of fish in a bowl in which it will be salted, pour it with the cooled brine. Put in the same bay leaf and pepper. The brine should completely cover so that it is well salted. Cover with a lid and put in the refrigerator.
After 12 hours the fish will be ready. Place on paper towel before serving to absorb excess liquid.
Bon appetit everyone!
