Baked apples with cottage cheese under crispy meringue

Ingredients: Apples, Cottage cheese, Ground cinnamon, Sugar or honey, Egg, Salt, Powdered sugar or cocoa powder (optional) for decoration

Cooking method:

Divide the egg into white and yolk. 40 g of sugar mixed with cinnamon. Preheat the oven to 165 degrees. Mix cottage cheese with sugar, cinnamon and yolk. Mix everything well. If there are grains, you can make the curd mass with a blender.

Cut off the top of the apples. Use a spoon to remove the core. Fill apples with cottage cheese. Transfer to a baking dish, and send to the oven at 160-165 degrees for 15 minutes. While the apples are in the oven, prepare the meringue (meringue).

In a dry and clean bowl, beat the protein with a pinch of salt until soft foam. And then, without stopping whipping, gradually introduce the remaining sugar. For convenience, transfer the meringue to a pastry bag.

And after the apples are slightly baked, put the meringue on top. Send to the oven, but already preheated to 120 degrees, and focus on a dry and crispy crust. It took me 15 minutes to do this. Let the baked apples with cottage cheese cool down and, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or cocoa.

Bon appetit🍴.
