Buckwheat with vegetables in the pot or the famous "Breakfast tourist"

Nutritious, tasty and inexpensive! Good not only for breakfast but also for an evening snack.

Tourists have long appreciated this wonderful jar of hearty dishes from the Soviet era. Remember?
And I remember her with gratitude from his student years. As the rescued this buckwheat with vegetables!

I think, I would not want to have on the shelf a couple of cans of buckwheat with vegetables. Especially because it just prepares.

Ingredients:

2 kg of buckwheat
3 kg of tomatoes
1 kg pepper
1 kg of carrots
0.5 kg onions
0.5 liters vegetable oil
1,5-2 Art. l. salt (taste)
150 c. Sahara
5 pieces. leafs
1 h. l. black peppercorns
1 h. l. allspice peas
1.5 l of water
100 ml of 9% vinegar

Preparation:

1. Buckwheat to sort and wash.
2. Carrot Wash, peel and cut into small cubes. You can grate, but the cut looks appetizing.

3. Pepper also wash, scrub off the seeds and cut into strips or cubes.

4. Clean the tomatoes cut into slices. Onion straws.

5. In deep skillet heat the vegetable oil and medium temperature fry carrots and onions about 5 minutes.



6. Add carrots to sweet pepper, simmer for 3 minutes, and then the tomatoes.
7. Once the tomatoes are soft to fall asleep in a saucepan to them buckwheat.

8. Boil filtered water and pour into a saucepan. The entire mixture should boil.

9. Add salt and season with pepper and sugar, do not forget about the bay leaf.

10. Decrease the temperature of the plate to a minimum and to cook snack buckwheat readiness for 30 minutes.

For a couple of minutes until cooked pour the vinegar and stir. By the way, it's not mandatory. If banks are well-sterilized and stored workpiece will be in a cool place, the vinegar is not needed.

11. Cleaned and sterilized jars, lids boil.

12. Boiling "Breakfast tourist" spread out on the banks and roll covers.
Turn upside down on the lid and wrap up at night.

A month later, buckwheat swells strongly and will look something like this.
