The taste is obtained as smoked! In recent years, this is my favorite recipe, done several times already, my husband loved it. Heartily recommend the recipe, it is very simple.

Ingredients:

fat (preferably with layers of meat) - 1 kg
salt - 200g
onion peel - 2 handfuls
Garlic - 2 heads
pepper, spices - to taste
sugar - 2 tbsp
prunes - 4-5 pc
bay leaf - 2 pcs

Make a brine. The pan pour 1 liter of water, adding salt, sugar, onion and bay leaves husk. Bring to boil and put it fat. I recommend a piece of bacon cut into two parts. Bacon cook 35-40 minutes. Then remove from heat and leave the fat in brine overnight.

On the morning of the pieces of lard rub minced garlic, pepper and any other spices that I enjoy. Bacon wrap in plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator. After 3 hours, you can eat.

Bacon, cooked in this way, is not stored more than a week in the refrigerator. If you feel that you do not eat immediately, store it in the freezer.
