Fry potatoes in the oven: crispy crust, soft center and fragrant herbs

Everyone loves potatoes and knows how to fry them. But do you know how to make delicious potatoes in the oven?

This recipe will definitely come in handy in any case.

Ingredients:

1 kg of potatoes
1 hour l. salt without a slide
0.5 tsp l. ground black pepper
2 cloves of garlic
5 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. l. herbal mixtures (Provencal or Mediterranean mixture)
0.5 tsp l. dry basil or rosemary

Preparation:

1. Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into slices. You can use straws, but the slices look neater and bake more evenly, without falling apart and do not dry out too much.

Remove excess starch from potatoes by thoroughly rinsing the slices in cold water. Or you can put the chopped potatoes in a deep bowl, pour cold water and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Then dry each slice with paper towels.

It is important! If you do not want to get porridge casserole, then the potatoes must be dry.

2. Place the potato slices in a plastic bag. Top with salt, pepper and herbs.

3. Peel the garlic and grate it on a fine grater. Also add to potatoes.

4. Tie the bag and shake well so that everything is distributed. Do not add oil yet!

5. Put the bag in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes so that the potatoes are saturated with delicious aromas.

6. Now you can pour in the oil. Open the package, pour 4-5 tbsp directly onto the potatoes. l. vegetable oil. Tie the bag again and shake to distribute the oil.

7. For the potato wedges to cook well, they need to be laid out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

So, cover a deep baking sheet with parchment and put the potatoes out of the bag.

Arrange the slices along the bottom so that they do not lie in piles in one place.

8. Put a baking sheet with potatoes in an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees for 30 minutes.

That's it, ruddy potato wedges are ready!
