How to fry capelin deliciously and without an unpleasant smell

The recipe is very simple and you will love it!

Ingredients:

500 gr. capelin fresh
2 eggs
2 tbsp. l. water
1 hour l. vinegar 3%
3 cloves of garlic
1 cup flour
salt
spices (pepper, coriander seeds, fennel)
1 tbsp. l. soy sauce
1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil for the marinade + oil for frying

How to cook:

1. Defrost the capelin, disassemble one by one. Gut and remove the film inside. This will relieve the fish from bitterness and unpleasant odors during frying.
Rinse each fish under running water.

2. Grind the garlic on a grater and add to the fish, mix well so that it is distributed throughout the fish.
Pour in vinegar, soy sauce and a spoonful of vegetable oil. Season with salt, pepper and other spices.
Remove the marinated capelin in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the batter: beat the eggs with a fork with a pinch of salt, pour in cold water.
Pour flour into a separate plate in an even layer. By the way, corn flour tastes better.

4. Dip the fish first in flour, then in a beaten egg, and then again in flour.

The last item can be replaced with bread crumbs.

5. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil.

6. Put the breaded capelin in hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on both sides, until the fish is golden brown over medium heat.

7. Blot the finished fried capelin with paper napkins and serve immediately.
