Cabbage salad with bell pepper

Wow, what a snack! This is roughly how everyone who has tried it evaluates such a workpiece. And try it! Moreover, there is never too much cabbage for the winter.

Ingredients:

1 kg of white cabbage
1 kg of bell pepper
350 ml water
50 ml vegetable oil
0.5 cups sugar
0.5 cups vinegar 9%
1 tbsp. l. coarse salt
bay leaf, peppercorns or allspice - optional

How to cook:

1. Be sure to wash the vegetables. Pepper to remove seeds and cut into strips. Finely chop the cabbage with a stripe shredder.

2. Mix the cabbage, bell pepper. Pour in vegetable oil, boiled water, all the sugar and coarse salt.

3. Place the dishes over medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes after boiling.

Do not hold for more than 10 minutes, otherwise the cabbage will overcook and it will be completely different.

4. Pour in vinegar 2-3 minutes before the end of cooking and mix. Add bay leaves, peppercorns, cloves, or other spices to taste.

5. Sterilize the jars, boil the screw caps.

6. Put the cabbage salad hot in sterilized and also hot jars. Roll up with hot lids, turn upside down and wrap in a blanket until it cools completely.

All! Store in a closet or basement. Until winter. And on a winter evening we take it out, open it and enjoy it!
