After many years of torment on hungry diets, which brought short-term results, I was already desperate to lose weight.

But that all changed when I came to counting calories. I not only lost weight without starving, eating deliciously, but now I know that I can keep the achieved result.

When we control our nutrition by counting calories and balancing becks, fats and carbohydrates (which is important for our health and body quality) - we can afford a variety of meals and products.

Today I want to tell you how the other day I cooked gratin with chicken breast and potatoes.

It turns out a delicious and very satisfying dish for the whole family, and at the same time, it can be included in the diet of someone who is losing weight by counting calories and BJU.

✅ For cooking, I used the following products:

  • chicken breast fillet 2 pcs - 590 g,
  • potatoes - 550 g,
  • milk 2.5% - 250g + 100 ml of water,
  • cheese -130 g (it is better to use suluguni or low-fat semi-hard cheese, I had Lambert),
  • 2 large cloves of garlic - 10g,
  • corn starch - 15g (or flour),
  • 10 g butter
  • salt, black pepper, dry garlic.

✅Cooking.

The first thing we do is peel the potatoes and cut them into slices about 2 cm thick.

Next, send the potatoes to boil in salted water. As the water boils - cook for 5 minutes. You don't need to cook the potatoes.

While the potatoes are boiling, cut the chicken breast into slices.

And we send the breast to fry in a pan (without oil). Salt the breast, pepper, sprinkle with dry garlic. We bring it to half-readiness.

While the potatoes are boiling and the breast is fried, finely chop the garlic and rub the cheese.

When the potatoes and breast are half-cooked, remove them from the heat.

We send butter to a clean frying pan, when it melts, add starch and mix well. Then pour in milk mixed with water, add garlic, a little pepper and most of the cheese.

Mix well until the sauce thickens.

Put the potatoes and chicken breast in a baking dish, pour the sauce, mix everything, and sprinkle with cheese.

I remove the handle from the pan and I just added potatoes with breast to the sauce and sprinkled with cheese.

We send it to the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees until a cheese crust forms. Focus on baking time on your oven.
