I will tell you how I make a low-calorie custard - a great option for PP desserts.

My blog is about tasty and comfortable weight loss. Here I share my experience of losing weight, menus for the day and recipes for dishes that are included in my slimming diet.

For a long time I wanted to make a custard, which will be low-calorie and suitable for us losing weight.

And now the time has come - the custard is ready!

I will tell you how I cooked.

🍰To prepare the cream, I needed the following products:

  • milk 2.5% - 400 ml,
  • 2 yolks,
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • a bag of vanillin,
  • 7 sachets of sweetener (1 sachet equals 1 g equals 5 g sugar).

🍰Cooking.

Put the milk on fire in a small saucepan with a thick bottom.

Mix two yolks with vanilla and sweetener.

Who does not use a sweetener - we take sugar and recalculate KBZhU.

Then add cornstarch and mix well so that there are no lumps.

Meanwhile, our milk warmed up. Add 3-4 tablespoons of milk to the yolks and mix. We will get a liquid consistency - this is how our starch mixture is better mixed in milk.

Gradually pour the yolks into hot, but not boiling milk. Stir constantly.

It took me 15 minutes to thicken the cream over medium heat.

All this time, I periodically stirred the cream so that it did not burn. We don't let it boil. When the cream starts to "puff", releasing air in large bubbles, it is ready.

Having achieved thickening, pour the cream into a bowl and cover with cling film. We put the film on the cream so that it touches the cream. So we will avoid the formation of a crust while our cream cools down.

When the cream cools down, it will thicken even more.

It turns out a delicious, delicate cream that can be used as a cream for tori, as a filling for dummy buns and just put it on a cookie or a bun - and there will be a gorgeous dessert. And the most important thing is the very pleasant calorie content of the cream.

🍊🍋 In addition, you can prepare a cream with different tastes by adding a little lemon or orange zest to the milk. You can make chocolate cream by adding cocoa.

KBZHU per 100 ready-made cream: K - 127, B - 4.88, F - 7.6, U - 9.12.
