Moroccan pilaf. Tasty, healthy and easy to cook

I found a great recipe, an alternative to our usual white rice pilaf - Moroccan pilaf. The recipe is quite simple, it turns out tasty, fast enough, ideal for lunch if you add it with a vegetable salad 🥙.

So, let's prepare the vegetables. Onions need to be cut into half rings, carrots into small cubes.

Any meat can be used for this recipe, I took poultry chicken breast. The meat must also be cut into cubes of about 1 * 1 cm and fry in a pan.

While the meat is fried, you need to prepare the tomatoes. I had a fairly large one, so I took only one, it must be doused with boiling water and peeled, cut into large cubes.

Vegetables should be sent to the almost finished meat and stew together for about 5-7 minutes.

Meanwhile, the bulgur should be rinsed well and boiled for 10 minutes. When the vegetables become soft, we send the bulgur to the pan, level and heat under the lid for about 5 minutes.

Now you can add the spices. The recipe indicated that it was necessary to add cumin and barberry, but since I don't like cumin and there was no barberry at home, I skipped this step. But the garlic must be added without fail, instead of 4-5 cloves, I added a teaspoon of dry garlic. And, of course, salt and pepper to taste.

You need to stir pilaf when it is completely ready.

Ingredients:
Bulgur 250 grams
Meat 500 grams
Tomatoes 2-3 pieces
Onion 1 pc
Carrots 2 pcs
Garlic 4-5 cloves
Zira, dried barberry - handful
