Hello, my name is Oksana! I am glad to greet everyone who has looked at my page. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my recipes! I would be grateful for your comments and subscriptions!
The season for picking vegetables has already ended, everything that can be processed, canned - but there are vegetables that are kept fresh for a long time, for example, zucchini.
Today I want to invite you to cook an incredibly delicious zucchini appetizer, which I know under the name "Zucchini firewood". I have been preparing such an appetizer for several years, and it is always eaten with a bang!
The recipe is not new, perhaps someone has already prepared a similar one - but, for some, I am sure, the recipe will be new. I recommend cooking and trying - it is easy and simple to prepare!
Cooking ingredients:
Large zucchini - 1 pc. or 2-3 small
Any hard cheese - 150-200 g
Chicken eggs - 2-3 pcs.
Breadcrumbs - 150 g
Sour cream (or mayonnaise) - 150 g
Garlic - 3-4 cloves
Salt, black pepper - to taste
Let's start cooking ...
First of all, we prepare the zucchini - peel it, remove the inside with the seeds and cut it into finger-sized cubes.
Now we take two bowls, into one of them we rub the cheese on a fine grater. First, grate about half of the cheese norm, the rest can be added later, because the zucchini are of different sizes, and the number of sliced cubes is different, you may need much less cheese. And you can always add ...
Add the breadcrumbs and stir. Also add only half of the bread crumbs.
Put sour cream in another bowl, break the eggs.
Add chopped garlic, salt, black pepper and mix. You can also add some chopped fresh herbs (or dried).
Now we take the sliced squash cubes, first we dip them in a mixture of eggs and sour cream, and then roll them in the breadcrumbs with cheese.
We spread it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper at a short distance from each other.
And we send to bake in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 20 minutes. In addition to this appetizer, you can make garlic sauce - it's delicious! Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
