Today I want to offer you a recipe for cooking herring in the oven in dry batter, without a drop of oil.
This is one of my favorite recipes - the most important thing is that no oil splashes remain on the stove!!! Prepares quickly, without unnecessary "body movements".
The fish turns out to be very tasty, fragrant, dry batter gives the fish an appetizing crisp crust. And, instead of Baltic herring, you can use capelin.
Cooking ingredients:
Baltic herring - 0.8-1 kg
Salt - 1/2 tsp l.
Seasoning for fish - 2 tsp l.
Wheat flour - 3 tbsp.
Getting started cooking:
We wash the Baltic herring (or capelin) well, then transfer it to paper kitchen towels or ordinary paper napkins to rid the fish of excess moisture. In this case, the fish is not gutted - but you can always do it!
In a small bowl, mix salt with seasoning for fish - or other spices, to your liking, then sprinkle the resulting mixture on the dried fish on both sides. Next, roll in flour ...
Place the breaded fish on parchment paper and transfer to a baking sheet.
We bake herring in the oven at 200 ° C - 20 minutes. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
