Today I want to bring to your attention a recipe for lean yeast pancakes, but of course, they are good not only in fasting.
This pancake recipe is one of my favorites - they require a minimum of ingredients, no eggs, butter, milk or other dairy products (lean option) and the pancakes are very fast.
Very convenient measuring ratio of products - how much water you take, add the same amount of flour... 200 ml of water means 200 g of flour, 500 ml of water means 500 g of flour.
Cooking ingredients:
Water - 300 ml
Pressed yeast - 10 g (can be replaced with dry, incomplete 1 tsp. l.)
Sugar - 3-4 tsp l.
Salt - 1 tsp l. (not quite complete)
Flour - 300 g
Vegetable oil for frying pancakes
Let's move on to cooking ...
Pour warm water into a bowl, crush the yeast and add sugar, mix everything. Determine the amount of sugar to your taste, but here you can take into account - the more you add it, the faster the blush will form and perhaps the pancakes may even burn.
Then add salt and sifted flour. As a result, you should have a fairly thick dough that will follow the spoon (spatula, whisk) of a wide dense ribbon. Cover the bowl with a lid and leave in a warm place for 40 minutes to rise.
And, here you can already see that after 40 minutes the dough rose well, in principle, you can already start frying pancakes, but... If you have time, mix the dough again and put it in a warm place for 20-30 minutes again - I assure you, this will make the pancakes much more fluffy.
After half an hour, pour a little vegetable oil into the pan, heat it up and spoon out the dough, forming pancakes. Fry on 2 sides, under a closed lid, until golden brown. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
