If there is a pack of cottage cheese in the fridge, then you can pamper yourself with some delicious cottage cheese pastries.

In one of my past publications, I told how I cook quick cottage cheese pie with apples in a pan - this is a great option for replacing cheesecakes

And today in our menu another option for cottage cheese baking is curd crumpets or donutscooked in a pan.

Very easy to prepare, delicious, ruddy, airy ...

Cooking ingredients:

Cottage cheese - 200 g
Chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
Sugar - 80-100 g
Vanillin - to taste
Salt - a pinch
Baking powder - 1 tsp l.
Flour - 300 g
Vegetable oil for frying

So here we go ...

Break eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, vanillin, sugar and grind with a mixer into a homogeneous mixture.

Add soft cottage cheese, grind again with a mixer. If your curd is too grainy, first wipe it through a sieve.

Sift the flour together with the baking powder and knead the soft dough, which must be allowed to rest for 30 minutes.

You may need a little more flour, but the dough should remain soft.

After half an hour, put the dough on the table, sprinkle with flour and roll it into a layer up to 1 cm thick.

Cut the rolled dough into small squares. The most ideal size is 1.5 by 1.5 - they quickly fry and turn out to be very airy.

Fry in a small amount of vegetable oil on both sides, literally 1 minute on each side.

You can sprinkle with icing sugar or pour over melted chocolate before serving. Cook, taste, enjoy your tea!
