I am 100% sure that there is hardly a person who will refuse a piece of delicious homemade hearty pie!
Like any hostess, I have several proven recipes for making various pies. I cook baked goods often enough - and today I want to bring to your attention chicken and potato pie recipe. Surely, some housewives prepare a similar cake, but for someone, perhaps, this recipe will be new!
The pie is prepared quickly - a very tender dough that does not get stale for a long time and there is a lot of tasty juicy filling, and the chicken can be replaced with pork or minced meat.

Ingredients for making chicken and potato pie:
For the test:
Kefir (curdled milk) - 200 ml
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Butter - 100 g
Salt - 1 tsp l.
Baking powder - 1 tsp l.
Flour - about 400 g
For filling:
Chicken (fillet) - 300-350 g
Potatoes - 2-3 pcs.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
A little vegetable oil - 2 tbsp l.
Salt, black pepper - to taste
Chicken yolk for greasing the cake
A little sesame seeds - if desired
And, cooking ...
I put the butter for making the dough in a glass bowl and melt it in the microwave.
I pour in warm kefir, add an egg, salt and stir.
Sift the flour along with the baking powder and knead the soft dough. I wrap it in plastic wrap and give it some rest (15-20 minutes).
And at this time I prepare the filling - I cut any chicken meat (not necessarily the breast) into small pieces, add potatoes cut into small cubes and finely chopped onions.
I pour in just a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, salt, pepper and mix - the filling is ready.
You can start forming a cake - here at your discretion, you want to make one big cake, but I am making two small cakes. That is, I divide the dough into 2 parts - and one by one I roll each part into a thin layer, up to 0.5 mm thick, giving it a rectangular shape - this is not difficult to do, the dough is very obedient. Then I spread half of the filling in the middle of the rectangular layer.
I close the filling with one of the extreme parts of the dough and pinch the edges tightly.
Cut the second side of the dough into thin strips.
I twist each strip slightly in a spiral and "drag" the pie, tuck the ends down.
I transfer the prepared pies to a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, grease the top with whipped yolk. And, if there is sesame, you can sprinkle it on top.
Such a cake is baked in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, at a temperature of 180 degrees. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
