Delicious, hearty and at the same time simple holiday salad. It will fit perfectly on the New Year's table! I am sure that your guests will appreciate it and eat it very quickly. Write down the recipe, this salad will come in handy for other holidays too!
Main Ingredients:
beet
mushrooms
potatoes
onion
mayonnaise
These are the main ingredients, but we'll also need some raisins / prunes and walnuts. You will also need vegetable oil and a sprig of herbs for decoration.
So, cook until tender 1 beet and 2 potatoes. Cook the vegetables in their uniforms, then remove the peel. Rub the beets and potatoes into separate bowls on a coarse grater.
Fry 300 gr of mushrooms (I have champignons) with onions in vegetable oil. Usually I take 2 small onions, but if the onion is large, then one will be enough. Cut the onion into half rings. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Now we lay out the salad in layers:
1 layer - half grated beets, mayonnaise
2nd layer - grated potatoes, mayonnaise
3 layer - fried mushrooms with onions (you don't need to grease with mayonnaise here anymore)
4th layer - the remaining beets, mayonnaise.
Top the salad can be garnished with crushed walnuts, raisins and prunes. But this is optional. You can not decorate with anything at all, or just put a sprig of greenery in the center.
We send the salad to the refrigerator for 2-4 hours so that it is soaked, and then you can serve it on the table. Bon appetit, friends!
