Ingredients
- 40 g mayonnaise (it is better to use medium fat content)
- 40 g kefir (3.2%)
- 40 g sour cream (20%)
- 2 cloves of garlic (the amount depends on your love for this ingredient)
- half a small pickled cucumber
- 0.5 tsp l. hops-suneli (but it is better to replace with the addition of ground black pepper, hot red pepper and, without fail, coriander)
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- a pinch of curry
- some greens optional: parsley, cilantro, dill and green onions
Steps
Tip: before chopping all the greens, it is recommended to rinse them thoroughly under running water and put them on a towel or paper napkins to dry naturally.
So, mix mayonnaise, kefir and sour cream. I recommend using products of medium fat content, because low-fat kefir and sour cream are liquid, respectively, and the sauce will be liquid.
Add dry spices, herbs (optional), minced garlic and pickled cucumber.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
The sauce is ready, but I leave it for 2-3 hours, so that the dry spices have time to "disperse". This will provide a richer flavor.
This sauce can be prepared not only for shawarma. With meat and chicken, with any vegetables and side dishes, and just with black bread - this is just a great combination!
