In winter, ginger is the head of everything! After all, it helps us to keep warm. In addition to its warming properties, ginger “knows” how to reduce the number of harmful bacteria in the body, keep viruses out, normalize weight, and most importantly, maintain immunity.
Recently, we have all already realized the benefits of this root (especially when it "jumped in price" so much due to the events taking place in the world!) Ginger is good in any form, both fresh and dried, and in powder.
Today we will make ginger powder at home. Such a ginger powder is the most active (the purchased one is rather weak, since it is often already half-exhaled, oxidized on oxygen).
Ingredients:
Ginger root - 5-10 cm piece (approximately)
Preparation
We take ginger root, wash it well (you can soak it for about 20 minutes in soda or salted water to neutralize mold, which also loves ginger like we do). We peel the root (we do not peel, but it is better to peel it anyway).
They cut the whole root into thin rings, put it in a candy box or on an iron counter and put it on a battery or on a warm stove to dry (it dries well in a couple of days). You can dry it faster in a fruit dryer, dehydrator, or oven.
All the ginger is dry. Place dry ginger in a coffee grinder. Ground to powdery state. (We do not sniff the ground ginger, because it "gives it in the nose!") Then you can sift it through a strainer. Store in an easy-to-use jar in a dark place.
Dried ginger can be taken with you to chew at the right time.
Ginger powder can be added to cocktails, warming drinks (ginger clove, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric ...), make hot ginger tea (and take it with you to the bathhouse), add it to salads, soups and other dishes. You can eat it like a bite with honey, make a ginger-lemon-honey mixture. You can cook warming ginger jelly from ginger powder and surprise your family and friends! (by the way, soon we will share a recipe for a delicious warming ginger-raspberry jelly)
We use ginger instead of glutamate as a natural flavor enhancer that boosts immunity, not suppresses it.
Have a great day and good health to all of us. Ginger to the rescue! :)
(Ginger is a great natural product, but like everything else, you shouldn't overdo it either. Everything should be in moderation, friends)
