Lenten honey cake
DOUGH
- Sift all the flour.
- Build a water bath.
- Put a dish on it and pour sugar into it.
- Add about 50 grams of water and honey.
- Warm up until sugar and honey dissolve.
- Add baking soda, foam forms.
- Warm up for a couple more minutes.
- Add vegetable oil and mix everything.
- Remove the food from the water bath and turn off the heating.
- Now you can add a little flour.
- After stirring with a spoon, it becomes difficult to knead the dough with your hands on the table.
- The dough may be a little sticky, this is normal.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until tomorrow or at least three hours before baking the cakes.
CREAM
- Tall cookware and a hand blender at a good speed are good for this.
- Vegetable oil and jam are the same room temperature.
- Beat butter at maximum speed first.
- After it has turned white, add jam on a spoon.
- Put the whipped cream in the refrigerator.
BAKERY PRODUCTS
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide by the number of cakes.
- 6 pieces will be enough for me.
- Leave 1 part, and put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator.
- Roll out the cake immediately on baking paper.
- You can use a rolling pin to roll the dough through the cling film.
- For even, identical cakes, pick up a plate or a lid from the pan and cut off the excess dough using this form.
- You can dust the plate with flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
Honey cakes are baked for 5-8 minutes at a temperature of 160 ° C degrees.
- Before baking, you need to chop the cake with a fork, transfer it to a baking sheet and send it to the oven.
- The finished crust should have a nice orange color.
- While the cake is hot, do not touch it, let it cool down. Then remove it from the paper.
ASSEMBLING MEDOVIK
- The cuttings can be shredded for decoration.
- Take the cream out of the refrigerator and grease all the cakes.
- You can sprinkle it with chopped nuts or crumbs.
- Send the cake to the refrigerator until evening, or better until the next day, if it works out.
