Hello everyone! Today I am preparing the second course according to an old forgotten recipe. Cabbage solyanka or fried stewed cabbage with vegetables and meat.

Delicious vegetable hodgepodge with pork

  • Cut the meat into cubes about 2-3 cm. Cut the vegetables into strips.
  • Pickled cucumbers are best peeled.
  • Chop fresh herbs - dill and parsley.
  • In a preheated pan with vegetable oil quickly fry the pork on high heat.
  • Then add a little liquid, salt, pepper and simmer until almost cooked.
  • Heat a second skillet with vegetable oil. Put cabbage on it and also fry over high heat.
  • Reduce heat, add tomatoes and simmer, stirring occasionally, until almost cooked.
  • When the pork became soft, evaporate the remaining liquid from it. Add onions, carrots and sauté all together.
  • When the onions are fried and golden brown add bell peppers and pickles.
  • Fry everything together over high heat.
  • Combine the contents of two pans.
  • Mix everything and simmer until cooked. Add salt, black pepper and a tablespoon of sugar in the process.
  • When ready, add fresh chopped herbs, stir and turn off the heating.
  • On this, a delicious cabbage hodgepodge with pork is ready.

600 g pork
800 g cabbage
250 g onion
250 g carrots
250 g bell pepper
250 g tomatoes (100-150 g tomato paste)
250 g pickles
40 g dill and parsley
salt pepper
vegetable oil for frying
