Today I continue a series of articles about unusual ways to use salt in the household. Namely, I will tell why am I soaking new toothbrushes in saline solution and share two more useful life hacks with this versatile spice. Let's not delay, let's start!
1. After buying a new toothbrush, I soak it in saline (a tablespoon of salt in a glass of water) for about an hour. After that, I thoroughly rinse it under running water. This procedure allows strengthen the bristles and extend the life of this hygiene product. But it must be remembered that after 2 months, even if the bristles are in perfect order, you need to replace the toothbrush, otherwise you risk cleaning your teeth poorly. By the way, to carry out the same operation with a broom or with a floor brush, they will also last much longer, but in this case it is better to soak in a hot saline solution.
2. Salt is an excellent tool for preventing blockages. Pour 3 tablespoons of salt into the drain and cover with boiling water, wait
10-15 minutest and run cold water. Do this every week and forget about blockages forever. Also, this method will eliminate the appearance of an unpleasant odor from the drain hole.3. With salt you can make the simplest, but no less effective skin scrub. All we need to do is sprinkle salt on a washcloth and rub it with it before taking a shower.
