Today I will tell how I tested vegetables for nitrate levels from two of the most popular grocery supermarkets - "Pyaterochka" and "Magnet". Namely, they underwent my verification tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes. I think it's not worth telling why nitrates are harmful to health, since everyone knows about it. Let's get started! "Pyaterochka". Started checking from cucumbers - 150 mg / kg. (the norm is up to 400 mg / kg.). The cucumbers passed the test with a large margin. The next vegetable was potatoes, and the device showed exceeding the permissible norm - 340 mg / kg. (the norm is up to 250 mg / kg.). The excess is not critical, but there is, so I will refuse to buy potatoes at Pyaterochka. Tomatoes passed the test with ease - 140 mg / kg (the norm is up to 300 mg / kg.). I took all measurements with pocket laboratory Greentest. With such a device, you can find out the level of nitrates of any vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, and the level of radiation and the degree of water hardness. Thanks to intuitive controls, even a child can handle measurements. And the lightness and small size allow you to carry out operations right in the store. You can buy, as I did, Greentest products in the online store "DAJET" (link is clickable). If you enter promo code "SECRETS OF THE HOUSEHOLD" get a 10% discount from me personally.
"Magnet". I started checking "Magnet" with tomato and he passed the test with a margin - 150 mg / kg (the norm is up to 300 mg / kg.). Then I measured nitrates in cucumber - 110 mg / kg. (norm up to 400 mg / kg.), among other things the lowest content of all measurements. Potatoes did not disappoint either - 130 mg / kg. (the norm is up to 300 mg / kg.). Thus, all vegetables passed the test, except for the potatoes from "Pyaterochka". It was interesting - like it! Scroll the photo to the right.
