In today's article I will tell you about cooking potatoes, but unusual, and potatoes called "Batat". This potato variety was popular in Peru and Colombia many hundreds of years ago. Now it is grown mainly in China, Indonesia and India. The consumption of this vegetable is massive and more than 100 million are grown every year around the world. tons of tubers. The main advantage of "Batat" potatoes is the presence of many vitamins and nutrients. I cooked potatoes in the oven - it turned out tasty, healthy, simple and unusual. Great summer meal!

1. Wash the tubers thoroughly, then it is advisable to additionally peel the peel, I used an iron sponge for this. We dry the tubers and pierce them with a fork. Lubricate the potatoes with vegetable oil and add spices to taste, I added salt and pepper. Everything is shown in detail in the photo, scroll to the right.

2. We spread the potatoes on a baking sheet, which was previously covered with foil. Better to use foil so as not to wash the baking sheet later, see the photo, leafing to the right. We put in the preheated oven up to 200 degrees, bake for 20 minutes, then turn over and leave in the oven for another 30 minutes. We put it on a plate, cut the tuber lengthwise, add sour cream and decorate with herbs. An unusual, healthy and very tasty dish is ready. By the way, there are such potatoes 169 rubles per kilogram, sold in many major grocery stores. Of course, 169 rubles for potatoes is a bit too much, but it's worth a try!
