Since I work with cosmetics, over the years I have tried a huge number of lipsticks (both on myself and on different women, that is, I know how products fit on different skin of the lips. There are regular customers, so I know how lipsticks behave on lips for several hours), I decided to share my observations.
Often, under my articles about lipsticks, I see comments where women say with complete confidence that they use only one brand (it is written here name, and each woman writes her name), and most importantly - many argue that there is no lipstick better and better than the one they are about say. And women praise lipsticks of different price categories (both for 300 rubles and for 3000).
But most women can only appreciate lipstick on their own lips, and each lipstick on different lips behaves differently. If we take the main differences between cheap and expensive lipsticks, then low-quality packaging and obsessive chemical fragrance are more common among cheap ones. But this does not mean that all cheap lipsticks are like that, there are those among them that practically do not differ from expensive ones.
For example, I have one client (she is closer to 60, she comes several times a year to do makeup for some event), so she has very dry lips and she constantly scolded all lipsticks (lipsticks either made her lips even drier, or spread). For example, for special clients with dry lips, I use lipstick-care from Yves Saint Laurent (for the contour - a colorless pencil). But this particular client did not fit the lipstick - just an hour later the lipstick was spreading. Later I learned from her that she herself uses the budget LUXVISAGE lipstick, which lasts specifically on her much longer than "mine". I even bought several lipsticks of this brand to compare with the product used by Yves Saint Laurent, so they are somewhat similar, but one costs 250 rubles, and the second 3000.
What lipstick to use after 50? The one that suits you specifically, which will feel as comfortable as possible on the lips (the shade and the desired effect - the selection is individual).
