Fish cakes are one of the easiest fish recipes to make. Even if your child does not like fish, then he will eat cutlets with pleasure, and will also ask for a supplement.
To cook cutlets, we need:
- Cod fillet or tenderloin - 500 gr.

- Bread or loaf
- Milk for bread
- Handful of dill
- A handful of green onions
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs

- 4 tablespoons cooking oil for frying

We take half a kilo of white fish fillets, for example, cod or any other. The meat should be boneless and skinless. I recommend fillets of large fish. Examine the meat very carefully and remove all bones.
Scroll the fish through a meat grinder. If you don't have a meat grinder, you can try cutting the meat with a knife into small pieces.
Tip: You can use frozen fish. It must be defrosted, and then squeezed slightly so that the excess moisture is gone. Remove all bones and chop in the same way as fresh fish.
Moisten a piece of bun in milk or broth. (The broth gives extra flavor to the cutlets)
Put the minced fish, bread in milk, one egg and finely chopped dill and green onions in one large bowl. Add a spoonful of salt and pepper.
Tip: You can also add your favorite condiments such as marjoram, rosemary, sage.
Mix all ingredients very thoroughly.
If the minced meat feels too runny, you can add some bread crumbs.
Pour breadcrumbs into a small bowl, make small cutlets and dip them in breadcrumbs.
Advice: If you like breading, then after the breadcrumbs, you can dip the cutlet in the egg and dip again in the breadcrumbs. Such cutlets should be fried a little longer.
Heat up a large skillet. Pour four tablespoons of cooking oil.
Fry the cutlets on both sides until golden brown. Make sure that the patties are not fried too quickly. If necessary, you can reduce the power of the stove. I fry the fish cakes for 5-7 minutes on each side.
