Chirashi: Japanese classic of Russian folk dish "lazy sushi"

Every time we think that we have discovered America and with joyful shouts we land on its shores (this is me figuratively I express myself), during disembarkation we are greeted by arriving tourists with multi-layered cocktails in their hands (this is also figurative, yeah).

If anyone does not understand, I will now disappoint all the inventors of sushi salads, or, as they are also called, lazy sushi. The Japanese themselves came up with a similar dish, even before us.

Unfortunately, there is very little information about Japanese cuisine in Russian.

It is reliably known that "lazy" sushi, or crumbly, the very ones that are served in the form of multi-layered salads, still exist in Japan, and not our folk invention. They are called chirashi. But they are sushi (or zushi or even sushi) or something else, I personally do not understand. And I'm not at all sure what sushi has to do with this dish, but... I have to take on faith what they write here.

Or look for more information. And it confuses even more ...

Because chirashi, it seems, is a whole group of dishes from unformed (unformed) rice into some figures with all kinds of additives.

Chirashi sushi is rice, seaweed, toppings, arranged in layers.

But there is, for example, hina chirashi, and it has nothing to do with sushi.

For the sake of interest, I'll give the recipe here, maybe someone can repeat it

We take:

Japanese rice - 150-200 grams

Shiitake mushrooms - 8 pieces

Half carrots

Chicken eggs - 2 pieces

Seasoning sakura denbu or furikake 2-3 tbsp. spoons

Sesame 2 tbsp. spoons

Any green vegetables (some)

Taste: soy sauce, sugar, mirin and dashi broth

How we cook:

1. Boil rice and at the same time - carrots and vegetables. Just whole carrots.

2. First we soak the shiitake and then cook in a mixture of soy sauce, mirin and dashi. Add sugar to this mixture to taste. Cut the boiled mushrooms into thin strips. Do not pour the mixture in which the mushrooms were boiled.

3. From eggs, a few spoons of dashi, a spoonful of sugar and a pinch of salt, we make a Japanese omelet. We fry it with very thin pancakes, and then cut it into strips (preferably the same shapes as the mushrooms).

4. Fry the sesame seeds without oil, cut the carrots into slices and heat them in the mixture of mushrooms left over from cooking. In principle, you can warm vegetables in the same mixture. Mix the rice with sesame seeds and mushrooms, lay omelet strips, vegetables, carrots on top and sprinkle all this with sakura denbu or furikake.
