They say there is a food panic in the country. Every now and then, photos of empty store shelves flash across the network. The most "smart" - forgive me for writing this word in quotation marks - buy salt, toilet paper, buckwheat, stewed meat and other goods of "strategic storage", especially advanced ones stuff freezers with chickens, meat, sausages and cheese. They say it will help you get through hard times.
I do not argue - it is in our blood to stockpile, and many still remember the famine times during the collapse of the USSR. But let's look at everything that happens without panic. Have we all the chickens are extinct? Harvest failure tough? The cows stopped milking, the epidemic mowed the pigs? No!
The only thing is that it is now recommended to go outside less if the situation with the virus worsens. All! But this is not for six months or even for months. So the reasons why everything is swept off the shelves - I do not understand.
Yes, I have already been told several times that I can regret this position. They say that smart people will sit on stocks, and I will rush around the neighborhood in search of a handful of pasta and pay crazy thousands for this pasta. So, today's post is especially for such alarmists.
Let me remind you - firstly, no one will raise prices for socially significant products. As buckwheat cost 60-70-90 rubles (how much exactly?), So it will cost. And other products. which are included in this list - too. This is being watched by the Federal Antimonopoly Service, which will gladly squeeze retailers, if anything.
Secondly, it is not the first day that citizens have been stocking up, but empty shelves do not happen and do not happen. In the network, pictures are one thing, in fact - another. Here are some pictures from Perekrestok, taken with my own hand.
Empty shelves, if they do appear, are immediately refilled with goods.
There is pasta.
And here is the stocks of food (well, to be sure, they will not leave anyone to starve)
Admire the distribution center of one of the largest food retailers in Russia - X5. He owns "Pyaterochka", "Carousel", "Crossroads".
Pallets, pallets, pallets, pallets... Food, household goods - that is, everything that is brought to stores every day.
Do you see a shortage in warehouses? He's gone. There are plenty of products. Those that deteriorate quickly - less, long-term storage - more.
Especially photographed stocks of toilet paper. To extinguish the panic in the bud.
Will there be enough for everyone? Well, why not? They didn't eat anymore (you can't eat your belly anymore), food is delivered to warehouses without interruption, from warehouses they go to stores.
There, in these warehouses, people really plow around the clock in order to extinguish the panic.
Where are the photos of empty shelves from then? And here everything is simple: products are not delivered to the store by magic mail. The store places an order for a certain quantity, this quantity is being transported. If they start buying more, they will bring more products. But they will be brought by the next morning, and not by the evening of the same day. And yes, by the end of working hours, some shelf may be left without goods. And in the morning he will be on it.
Due to the excitement of consumerism, the same X5 called workers out of vacations, urgently accelerates the training of new ones and attracts all the hands that are possible. Is this a little or a lot? Well, it's up to you.
As well as whether it is worth buying food in huge quantities now.
There are products in the warehouses. They won't go anywhere. If you want to set up a warehouse from your own apartment - good luck. They'll just rejoice at your stocks, most likely, worms and cereal moths - there have already been precedents for this (remember 2014, for example).
Reason, reason must be added everywhere. But the mind, unfortunately, is not for sale in stores.
