Fried gnocchi with pumpkin sauce

Admin

Once I gave a recipe for classic Italian gnocchi, but for some reason many did not like it. This is understandable: we are used to thinking of Italian cuisine as tasty, bright, and kind of salivating, while gnocchi are simple potato dumplings with a flat taste. They become more or less appetizing with cheese and tomato sauce, but... In general, it is believed that the game is not worth the candle.

In this regard, I thought - what would happen if the gnocchi were made... fried. And add cheese during cooking, and not after?

It turned out delicious and, most importantly, simple. I share the recipe.

We need:

• Ricotta

• Wheat flour

• Egg

• Potatoes

• Garlic

• Pumpkin

• A little salad for garnish, salt and pepper

How we cook:

Boil potatoes, make mashed potatoes

Combine the ricotta with mashed potatoes, salt a little, pepper, add the egg and mix.

Yes, I almost forgot. You will also need parchment paper.

Pour 3 tablespoons of flour into the paper, lay out the mass of potatoes and ricotta, mix thoroughly again. If necessary, you can also add a couple of tablespoons of flour

We form a sausage about 2.5 cm wide and cut into pieces. This is our gnocchi

Put the pan on high heat, finely chop the garlic, add oil and fry the gnocchi.

The sauce is even easier. You can take a ready-made pumpkin and punch it in a blender, but personally I take out the freeze, punch and heat it in the same pan for literally a minute (of course, when the gnocchi are ready).

We straighten the sauce with salt to taste (some may not need it) and... Bon appetit!
