Today I learned that the whole world celebrates Blondes Day on May 31st. This is a good reason to congratulate friends of the blondes and cook one of my favorite desserts - blondies. It's like the popular brownie, only white.
Blondies are loved in the USA, where I once worked. But it is easy to prepare it in Russian cuisine too. The recipe is very simple, and loved ones will be happy - I checked this on my own family.
The Blondie dessert got its name because of the white chocolate in the composition and the similarity in texture to the brownie cake, which many of you tried in a cafe, and some even cooked at home. Brownie (translated from English - brown) is a dense cake, with a bright chocolate taste and a slightly damp dough. It is cooked on dark chocolate, and the blondie is cooked on white.
The original blondie recipe involves a lot of butter. You can partially replace the butter with creamy peanut butter - it will turn out to be unusual and tasty. I used homemade pasta, but you can use a store-bought one. I will leave a link to the recipe for homemade pasta at the end of the article.
Step by step recipe for how to cook Blondie
Ingredients:
- Butter at room temperature 100 g
- Peanut butter 150 g
- Sugar 165 g
- Vanilla sugar 10 g
- Egg 1 pc
- White chocolate 75 g
- Nuts 75 g
- Flour 125 g
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Beat butter with peanut butter until creamy. Add vanilla and regular sugar and eggs, beat until smooth.
Sift flour with baking powder and mix until smooth.
Cut the nuts and chocolate into coarse crumbs, add to the dough and mix.
I put the dough in a parchment-lined mold and bake for 30-40 minutes at 170 ° C.
I put it on a wire rack and let it cool completely. Let's see what I got.
The wife and mother-in-law praised the dessert very much and said hello to all the blondes!
