I could not resist and ordered organic hot chocolate from the online store.

I love sweets and have already tried everything that can be bought in stores. Therefore, I started looking for interesting desserts in online stores. Recently I came across hot chocolate, which costs 960 rubles for a can of 280 grams. And if translated into kilograms, then the cost turns out to be almost 3400 rubles.

Although the price seemed high to me, I decided to take it for a test. In the description it was stated that this is a “superfood eco-shmeko” product. Usually, such inscriptions do not carry anything and are used as marketing tools to increase sales. I wonder how things are with this chocolate? Let's show you what the packaging looks like.

The box is beautiful and pleasant to hold in your hands. According to the manufacturer, it is made from degradable materials and will completely dissolve in compost in 40 days. But I'm much more interested in the composition of such a chocolate.

The composition, to my surprise, is excellent. This is the first time I've come across chocolate without added soy lecithin. This is really unusual, as other expensive brands are not shy about using it.

Time to see what's inside the jar.

Soy lecithin is added to chocolate to make it less viscous and more fluid. They also replace cocoa butter in chocolate (up to 4%). Due to this, the cost price is reduced, but it affects the taste, making it “plasticine”.

Inside the can, I found chocolate chips. The mass looks a little whitened, but this is normal for the chips. Let me tell you what the taste of this chocolate is.

If you just taste the shavings, you will feel the taste of good chocolate. The shavings do not melt in the hands, but as soon as they are in the mouth, they begin to dissolve. And if you pour hot milk into the chocolate, you don't have to wait long for the chocolate to dissolve.

My drink was ready in just a couple of minutes. I liked its taste. True, I do not drink cow's milk, so I replaced it with oat milk, but this does not greatly affect the taste and texture.

If you prepare chocolate by following the instructions on the packaging, then the cans should be enough for 14 servings. It turns out that one portion costs 68 rubles, and if you calculate the cost of milk, you will get all 80 rubles. It's time to summarize.

I liked the chocolate. It is very pleasant that for that kind of money, the manufacturer does not try to slip soy lecithin in the composition. But I will hardly buy this drink yet, after all, the price is too high for me.

Do you think this chocolate is worth its money?

P.S.: In our country, they like to inflate the cost of imported products, so I checked the prices in online stores in Germany, where it is produced. There the cost of one can is 6 euros, or 516 rubles. This is already a more pleasant price.
