To draw attention to their prices, market traders come up with colorful names. I show you what can be found in the largest wholesale market in Moscow.
I usually buy fruits and vegetables from the shops near my house, but recently I found out that there is a huge grocery market near my house. I decided to go and see what they sell there and ask the price.
I don't go to the local market in our town, because I noticed that prices there are an order of magnitude higher than in chain supermarkets. Therefore, when I went to the wholesale market, I doubted that the prices there could surprise me, but I was wrong. The price tags really surprised me, first of all by the way they are written.
The market occupies a huge area, and people come here to trade from all over not only our country, but also the world. Although most of all, of course, visitors from neighboring countries trade here. And since Russian is not their native language, they do not always write price tags literally.
Here is a vivid example with the price tag for an avocado, the seller both heard and wrote. This is another good example, here at least the handwriting is clear and large.
By the way, the price of 500 rubles is not for 1 kilogram, but immediately for a box. You should buy these carefully, as they are on the street and could freeze. If you bargain, the price easily decreases from 500 rubles to 400, and if you take 10 boxes at once, you can get 370.
An experienced seller sells tangerines. He decided not to bother with the description, but simply indicated where they were from and set the price. Again, this is the price per box. By the way, how do you think, how many kilograms is in such a box?
But there are price tags that you can't look at without laughing. I think the salesperson did a great job of getting attention.
True, the creativity was enough for only 2 products: ginger and bananas. Apparently, the seller associates any sweet fruit with first love.
And here's the ginger sale. Find out how many mistakes the author of this price tag made? I'm not sure about virus protection, but it's relevant.
In general, I liked the market, and there are really good prices, it's a pity that you have to buy a lot at once. But even if you don't buy anything, you can have a great laugh at the creative price tags.
Have you seen funny price tags?
