During my long stay at home, I decided to arrange a little cleaning in the kitchen and get rid of things that I have not used for a long time. Show me what to throw out to free up space.
While the quarantine is raging outside the window, I decided to clean up the kitchen. Usually the wife does this. One day I decided to help a little, but I got so involved that in the end I prepared a lot of junk to take away, which I had long wanted to get rid of.
Since we carry out a separate collection of garbage, very few things went to the trash heap. After the end of quarantine, I will take most of them and hand them over for recycling.
Banks
I used to collect glass jars that were left over after consuming their contents. At some point, I had a lot of them. Some I gave out to my friends a long time ago, and some were used for rolling jam. As I am released, I give the banks to my mother-in-law.
I left myself only the same cans. The wife got used to storing them neatly, so that now they do not take up much space. And if all the banks were different, they would occupy the entire storage space.
Silicone bakeware
Recently, I have been baking more and more in steel pastry rings, and the silicone is idle. Most of these forms have never been used at all. To begin with, I'll try to attach them to friends, but if it takes too long, I'll get rid of it.
Containers
Food storage containers are like socks, the lid you need will always get lost somewhere. Some lie without a lid and have clearly not been used for over a year. To free up space, you have to send them to waste.
Towels
I use towels a lot when cooking. I have a lot of them. But for a long time they do not live with me, literally in six months they become dark from active use and no longer wash out. Some of it already looks too obscene.
Packages
Earlier, when I lived alone, I had a bag of bags in my kitchen. First one, then two, and then I got married. The packages moved to a new home, and the wife carefully disassembled them and sorted them by size. For several years we have used large bags for garbage, but the packing ones are idle. Therefore, I send them for processing.
And what have you wanted to throw out for a long time, but do not dare?
